Maria Campos, LMFT, serves as the Director of Clinical Services at both Malibu Detox and Residential Treatment Center and Malibu Recovery Center. In her role, Maria guides and nurtures Malibu’s clinical team, while developing protocols and policies that elevate the quality of care provided.
With a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Maria has been a dedicated professional in the behavioral health sector since 2014. Her expertise spans several specialties, including Seeking Safety, Crisis-Oriented Recovery Services (CORS), motivational interviewing, interpersonal therapy, and LGBTQIA addiction treatment. Throughout her career, she has held various pivotal roles such as Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Director, Lead Therapist, Executive Clinical Liaison, Therapist Mentor, BHT Supervisor, and Referral Coordinator.
Maria’s commitment to this field is personal; having overcome her own challenges as an at-risk youth with a trauma history, she was inspired to give back and help others discover their power of choice. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Maria enjoys drawing, painting, and listening to audiobooks in her leisure time, constantly seeking new ways to express creativity and inspire others.
