Kimberly Crespo, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#53824) with a specialization in addiction and co-occurring disorders. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and received her Master of Science degree in Educational Psychology, with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy, both from California State University, Northridge.
Kimberly has over 10 years of management experience and has been working in drug and alcohol treatment with co-occurring disorders since 2005. She has extensive experience with managing and structuring clinical programs that best meet the needs of clients. As a Clinical Director, Kimberly manages the clinical team to provide clients and their families with the necessary tools to effectively address mental health and substance abuse issues. She works compassionately with staff, clients, and their families to foster a healing environment while working closely with the clinical team by guiding them toward ensuring the clinical program at Malibu Detox & Residential is at the forefront of the industry.
Kimberly’s primary focus is to bring the clinical philosophy using the Motivational Interviewing’s Stages of Change, Trauma-Focused CBT, DBT, Seeking Safety Evidence-Based Practices, and the therapeutic alliance to enhance our dynamic clinical team.
